A/C Issues
SO, the original compressor went out (broken internal shaft?). 1st replacement squalled like a gear box going out and would not stay engaged. 2nd replacement (same brand) did the same thing. 3rd replacement (GM this time) no noise issue but it blows intermittent cold then warm air. I have tried it with the recirculation on and off. Does not seem to make a difference. I also tried it on a warmer setting than max a/c and he seemed to get colder. Any ideas?

Sometimes when mechanics put compressors on they add to much oil thinking they need to add all the oil for the entire system. Since the oil circulates into the system they do not need to add that much. There is a proper amount that needs to go in when just doing certain parts such as the compressor. You then get a problem with things like the expansion valve getting oil sludge in it and not working properly since to much oil is in the system. If the expansion valve acts up you go from cold to warm air even with the proper charge.
Might evacuate the system and get the oil out and recharge properly. I'm not a mechanic but having some AC issues as well. This is just some info I picked up while researching and troubleshooting my issue so please ask someone who knows better than I, just trying to help with ideas what the problem could be.
