Thumbs down If You Hate The New Challenger?

If you hate the new challenger as much as I do, then look at this. You tell me if this isn't just a two door version of the charger

Wow, did you just figure this out?? Dodge said that from the begining, that they started with a charger, removed 2 doors and started from there. BTW, I like the new challenger, and camaro, and mustang.

There are a couple of things I really like about the Challenger.
1. Old school styling in a new way. It really resembles the original.
2. This is best part about the new Challenger. - Its not even close to matching the looks of our new Camaro!

Our new Camaro? Do you work for GM or something? It's funny how so many GM fanboys are down on the Challenger but ga-ga over the new Camaro when they have a lot of similar stling cues.

Oh, well, that's why they make more than one ponycar I guess. I still think it brings into question your maturity when you have to put down something else to make your own choice/opinion look better.

Thank you for that garagelogic. I'm also glad alot of people on this forum like the look of the challenger as well but say their dislikes too. The challenger in the 70's was a shortened charger and so is the new one. Please know your muscle car history before you start trashing the new muscle cars just because it doesn't have a chevy logo on it. I love all muscle cars and will never hate any of them.

I hate fanboys.

It has nothing to do with ones maturity the Challenger can't hold a candle to the Camaro in the looks dept. Its fine from the very front then goes horribly wrong from the door handles back. The concept looked so good then they screwed the pooch with the production version. And as far as being GM fanboys, what site are you on?

I'm obviously on a site dedicated to the 5th Gen Camaro. In my experience, most enthusiasts who appreciate the Camaro also appreciate performance/pony cars in general and do not have to stoop to trashing other brands offerings just to make themselves feel better about their own choice.

If my comment offended your delicate senses, then I must assume you fall under the heading of GM fanboy.

^ To my knowledge, nobody "trashed" the Challenger. You are on a GM forum, so yes we will probably be slightly bias, ok really bias, toward the Camaro... but this doesnt mean we are "fanboys." Most of us do like all muscle cars, Mustangs, Challengers, and Chargers (so it has 4 doors, it's a muscle car in my book ), we just lean hard toward the Camaro. There is nothing wrong with that, and that doesnt mean you have to put us all under one label, just because we like one more than the others.

And just for the record, the Challenger is one of the most attractive cars I have ever seen, IMO. The Camaro just looks better

Don't condone a whole forum for something one or two people say. I'm sure there's at least one or two people on challenger forums that bash the camaro. I personally like the look of the Challenger, sure it's slightly botched, but doesn't mean I hate it.

Please choose your words carefully garagelogic.

lol, as far am I'm concerned the more the merrier in the pony car wars. Hell, it may even mean a LSA GT500 killer, I can only hope. However, it doesnt mean I have to like everything about them. The Challenger looks great from the front, good from the back, hideous in profile and the interior is an abortion. The current generation Mustang just has never looked right to me, kinda like the Challenger but not as bad. Oh, and I'm a Camaro fanboy, get it right. lol I may not like them, but I do respect them and I dont hate just to hate. However, if I dont like something there is a reason, and not just because its a different make.
