If they ever made a convertible I’d consider one.

I keep thinking Dodge is waiting to release a convertible Challenger. Get a few more years out of that platform and bring in the buyers who wanted a drop top.

That IMO makes the Challenger sales even more impressive. They are still moving plenty of them with out a drop top option

Thanks. It's the only color for me. I was looking at used first because I thought the only years they made it were 15 & 16. Then, totally by accident, I found out it was available as a special order.

So GM saved consumers $1000-1700 on a gas guzzler tax by putting crap on the motor (L99) that has been shown to be less effective than advertised when not used in a controlled environment, that depending on source is potentially harmful to the longevity of the motor, and costs 4 times that to strip off when upgrading the cam (because why wouldn’t you upgrade if you were just pulling the AFM/DOD)?

Yeah, in GM logic makes perfect sense. i.e. none.

I prefer the old one as well but ultimately it was too much car for me to pass up. I've been threatening for years to buy a HC but just couldn't do it. All of the upgrades to the car that make it a Redeye pushed me over the hump.

I wish they had left that nonsense off of the automatics & simply charged the tax.
