I couldn't believe that he said that then I look over and see what he is driving......A FREAKING TOYOTA!!!!!!!!!

So I say....
First of all I have 426HP and get 24 MPG...Second...IT IS A CAMARO....And third.....This is where I let him have it........... Where do you get #$%^% off saying anything about my AMERICAN car when you are driving a %$&*&$ TOYOTA???? I think anyone that drives foreign in this state should be *^^%^ slapped and be standing in the unemployment line. It is because of idiots like you that this state is in the shape it is in. (Sorry I am in Michigan so I see the effects of the big 3 firsthand) He then tries to say the usual respone of "yea but it is built in....." I stop him again and tell him "I don't care where it is assembled the profits go overseas." He then jumps in his FOREIGN TRASH with his fartcan exhaust and leaves.

I was HOT....Was I out of line? And before anyone asks I am not an employee of the big 3 I am actualy a police officer so I have no actual ties to the big three at all. This is just the way I feel.....Am I just one of the few left that feels this way????

I would have very nicely replied," I don't know how much you are saving in gas by driviing that thing, but if you keep making remarks like that to strangers you soon will be spending your savings on dental work!!!!!

hes an idiot wrapped in a moron. ill never drive a jap car because it just hurts the people here at home, i have close friends that live in cali and everyone drives foreign cars there, granted that much of the population is of asian decent, but my friends are from europe. they call me a patriot saying that ill only buy american, but there are some people who read a silly consumer report book, rather than real life driving. but i would have informed him first of what the car actually does, and then insult him and make fun of his hair, face, car, ect.

but also last time i checked, the asian car makers cant make a v8 for crap, it wont last, and they get the worst gas mileage of all car makers, european, american, or asian.

Sometimes I wonder if the dirty looks I get on the road are people thinking the same thing. I would have just said "nah Im rich". that would have made him madder LOL

Whoa! What a dbag... You did good bro. With an attitude like his he deserved it. It would have been different if he was just being curious and asked a question about the gas mileage. I bet in all honesty you get as much fuel economy as he gets especially if it was an older Toyota model.

Probably so. My truck never got the quite the same kind of mileage the Camaro does, but it's a 2000 model, before engine management and other such things.

MPG has improved for most carmakers substantially in the last 10 years or so. The Camaro only gets 1 mph worse than the fiancee's former car, a '97 Grand Am.

I kinda wonder if this guy is a Prius owner, though, from the attitude. You get two primary types of Prius owners; gadget junkies and rabid eco types. The gadget junkie wouldn't have been berating anyone, he'd have been showing off the car's 'stealth mode'.

Dude, my brothers (and my former) Z34 Monte gets a whopping 17-21MPG. It friggin qualified for CFC. That's sad for a transverse mounted 3.4L V6.

If you want horrifying gas mileage, I'll look up the MPG for my Mom's old '78 Thunderbird.

I don't have to. 6MPG off my dad's 79 Z/28. Same MPG off my mom's 69 straight 6 Camaro.
