2008 JD Power and Associates Sales Satisfaction Index

And once again, GM proves them all wrong.

http://www.jdpower.com/corporate/new...spx?ID=2008250

I am very happy to say that EVERY SINGLE GM BRAND WAS RANKED ABOVE AVERAGE IN CUSTOMER SATISFACTION.

The import brands? Toyota, Honda, and Nissan all ranked below average in customer satisfaction.

I just want to check my understanding on this. This particular survey has nothing to do with vehicle quality but is instead about the 'buying experience'. Jaguar is consistantly high on this because the dealership acts almost like a concierge?

It has nothing to do with actual reliability rankings or anything like that, is that correct?

"Now in its 22nd year, the study is a comprehensive analysis of the new-vehicle purchase experience. Overall customer satisfaction is measured based on five factors: dealership facility; salesperson; paperwork/finance process; delivery process; and vehicle price."

A customer had a good experience with a dealer, hence they come back. It may have nothing to do with quality of the vehicle, but it is important.
