GF got a new job... for Chevrolet

Well im at work and had time to call my GF. Been calling and txtin and nothing??? So i was thinking is she okay did something happen? Finally she calls back and she told me she had a job interiew at a local Chevrolet Dealership, and it sounds like they pretty much gave her the job on the spot. At first i was like..umm okayyy...but the thought of it now is starting to grow on me lol. I mean she loves my Camaro but i never pictured her working at a dealership. Well Im excited and a little jealous that she'll be around more Camaros than i will. Just thought Id share the joy with yall.

Anyone else have a similar or related story?

Good for her. I always loved working at dealerships.

However, it depends on what she'll be doing? I mean if she's in Sales, then yeah, she could spend a lot of time around the vehicles. If she's in Parts or the Office staff, then she may never even see the cars other than when she drives past them.

Oddly enough though, I may be getting a job (finally, after about 8 months) at a dealership too.....however, it will be a Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge dealer.....as a Service Advisor...so, I may get to see lots of cars a lot of the time....unfortunately, none of them will be Chevy's, let alone Camaros.....lol.

Congrats on her getting a job.. Maybe she'll be eligible for an employee discount (ya know what I mean - wink, wink, nod, nod, say NO more)..

lol, i hope she can get discounts. i did throw out the idea of having 2 camaros in our driveway

Well she'll be helping the manager and assistant manager with inventory on the new vehicles, taking phone calls, and a few other side projects for administrative tasks. Its a bump up from her current job so Im excited for her. Thanks for all the well wishes!

I know salesguys and their families usually qualify for employee pricing, but it's not too great on a Camaro. 2-3k tops. However, the parts discounts should be good!

Excellent point made. I can definatley use her discounts on service or some of the gm performance parts they have. Not too sure how the gm exhaust or cai compare to aftermarket products but Its worth a look.
