Hyundai Sonata's Haul Ass!

I just got back from Ft. Worth Texas and had to have a rental to get around. I wanted a Mustang, but got stuck with a Hyundai Sonata. "Oh well" I thought to myself and drove away. Later that day I wanted to pass a slow driving truck on the freeway and was hoping this boring sedan could get up to speed......"Oh snap!" I now thought to myself when I actually got shoved back into my seat. I couldn't believe this ugly boring car just accelerated as quickly as it did.

At the first stop sign I came to I floored it from a standing stop and this thing couldn't even get traction...it cracked me up. It got a little addicting, so much so that I ended up using way more fuel than I had planned on.

Anyways, I had to look up the specs that night in my hotel room and turns out the 3.3 V6 I was driving has 250 hp...that's the same as my '91 Firebird 350. I was shocked.

be happy you didn't end up getting a hyundai accent. i had one of those when i visited folks in kansas a year ago. try passing a damn cattle-truck with that car...

It's FWD though, right? So I guess Hyundais aren't the best in safety, from diddiyo's post. Well, at least that car has some cojones.

Yeah, i drove a rental altima, and was actually impressed, but my monte i think is faster.
