From an NFL quarterback?!

"I've never been part of a tie. I never even knew it was in the rule book. I was looking forward to getting the opportunity to get out there and try to drive to win the game. But unfortunately with the rules, we settled with a tie.''

This, from McNabb after the Eagle's v. Bengals game ends in a tie.

How can any player in the NFL NOT know this rule?!

Pathetic. And I love it.

The Eagle's tie, their Q.B.'s moronic statement, both made my Monday morning a lot better.

Well, it should have actually been 18-10. How in the world can you review a play and still blow the call?

I'm thinking maybe the odds people in Vegas had a little to do with the final outcome myself.

I will cling to my Phillies world championship forever. At least they know the rules. As an Eagles fan I will officially say, it is time for a change. And for the cowboys fans out there, I cannot wait for Romo to muff another hold for a game winning field goal. So say what you want about the Eagles now.

Apparently, the referees are now saying they made a mistake:

"For now, though, the news is that referee Scott Green admitted after the game that the Steelers should have been given credit for the touchdown that safety Troy Polamalu scored as time expired." From http://www.profootballtalk.com/2008/...steelers-game/

now the problem is that if the score was adjusted so the last touchdown counted, the steelers would have beat the spread and people in vegas would have won a lot of money
