Fbodfather - GM's latest reorganization

Hopefully Scott won't mind me posting this here, but I wanted to share it so that we can pass along our appreciation, thoughts, and comments to Scott.

--- I keep my Title as "Manager - Shows and Exhibits - Chevrolet" -- but I give up Saturn - and pick up Cadillac/Hummer/Saab. Naturally I'll continue to stick my nose in the Camaro side of the business. (that is until John and Cheryl and Ed tell me otherwise....)

I'm fortunate to have a job - but very disheartened to see so much talent take retirement.

The good news? We still have a lot of passionate people working on our cars and trucks........but we ARE in for a very rough ride for the next year or so.......

Thank you - all of you -- for your faith in GM. We're grateful.

As I posted elsewhere;

I'm glad for you Scott! And a BIG CONGRATS on picking up Cadillac.

I'm sorry to read about the "rough waters" GM is sailing through, but with folks like you aboard, they'll get through this storm just fine.

I truly believe they (GM) realize what a special, unique, and passionate person they have in their corner. If they have more folks who share your passion and enthusiasm, they'll be just fine.

Hang in there buddy! We're all pulling for you.

Scott, your enthusiam will bring GM far. You have already turned my wife over (at Indy) and she will get a 2012 Camaro convertible. Of course, I've still got my order in for a 2010 2SS/RS.

Keep doing the great things you do and Gm will prosper. Thanks.

Hopefully this mess in Detroit turns around soon. Good luck to all the automotive employees, but i am glad to see that father will still be around

Just wanna let Fbodfather know, that I grew up after getting my first 97 z28 vert and other then my x wanting a Dodge, I have bought GM ever since. Over 150k$ to Gm in the last ten years. Keep the hits comming and this summer ish, I will be putting more money into Gods Motors. One of many reasons to love this country.

Indeed. Holden went through a situation similar to this in the late 80s/early 90s and GM came and helped them out, and they're now the top market car in Austrailia!

GM will be king once again!
