Wow, you can really see what a difference having a computer drive for you makes!

The trap speed for that boss is low, even for the DA. The car is not broken in yet.

the bimmer red lit, making for one hell of a hole shot, should have been much closer.

Agree with all points... plus add a power-adding boost on that Boss and it's a different tale.

Looked to me like the Boss had a differant set of rims in the rear so more than likely was running DRs. 12:40s are great but I am pretty sure that time can be acheived with the stock rubber.

both are great cars... my family has had some Renntech Mercedes and they were very solid cars.. not the typical thing you see from a tuning shop

A tuned 335 could be putting out around 375-400 hp to the wheels but I think but a Boss 302 on DRs could get into the 11s. Heroic time from the 335 vs a pretty bad one for the Boss 302.

On stock turbos with the right mods they can make as much as 430whp. Plus the DCT is flawless when it comes to shift times and shift points.

That's likely why the Bimmer edged the Boss... the Boss' stock shifter & MT82 is arguably its greatest achilles heel on a 1/4 track.

I don't know why you'd say that, while I know some cars have had issues (My 5.0 being one of them), it's always been flawless at the track and I've never missed a gear.

Just from hearing other drivers down here in PBIR and Homestead... I know 2 guys who track their Boss and Shelby and they always complain about the shifter or MT82. They swapped out for the MGW and eventually they said they'll replace the MT82 with the Tremec. A performance shop has the same rant as well... MT82 has plenty of room for improvement. I haven't track my Boss yet so I can't provide any track-related input. On the streets though, I have no qualms on it shifting and/or tranny performance.
