DARPA Remote Controlled nano-UAV hummingbird

Quote:
AeroVironment video of flight tests of its Nano Hummingbird flapping-wing nano air vehicle, developed for DARPA. Battery-powered and remote-controlled, the hummingbird-like prototype uses flapping wings for propulsion and control. Carring a video camera and downlink, the prototype has a wingspan of 16cm (9.5in) and weighs just 19 grams (0.66oz). It can hover for 8 minutes, remaining stable in gusts up to 5mph, and reach up to 11mph in forward flight.

Because of DARPA, the computer mouse you're using, the internet your using, the GPS system you most likely have, and some of the most amazing technological advances in history all had their beginnings at DARPA. It's a great place to work!

Only a matter of time until they come equipped with explosives, it would be a nice peice to take out concealed targets.

Just use them as the designator for the missle strike.

So I can 'thank' them for technology defeating it's own purpose like a smart phone that can't make a phone call?

Also solution for the humming bird cam: .22 pistol and shoot every bird/flying thing you see.
