what car should a university junior get

title says most of it. under 7 grand would be best. looking for something that will last me at least two years until i work up enough money for the 2010 LS. was thinking 4th gen, just wanted C5er opinions

What kind of weather will you be driving in? What are you looking to do with the car (track it, drag it, or just DD it)? Do you plan to modify it?

He means the Generation right before the current ones... Pretty sure its the ones before 2007, the Impala with the circular taillights.

maybe learn to drift in it (on a closed lot authorised of coarse) but mostly DD. weather would be cold with alot of snow. calgary, alberta. maybe some road tripping in it

I still love em, one of my all-time favorite cars. Or you can get yourself an LT1 Caprice and beat up/mod it without worrying about ruining a "real SS". Throw an impala grill and spoiler on there and paint the chrome moldings body color and you got yourself Impala looks!

i think if its sold by the time you get there, you can find another F-Body at that price, shoot, ive seen LS1 F-Bodys go for less than that! Do it.
