Angry Damn, did not know tires could be so $$$

I was changing the oil in Monty and I noticed his left front tire was bald on the inner part which i never saw cause I was not under the car since the fall. Well I never noticed any alignment issue so i took it to the place that does them and they told me that hitting a few good potholes can mess it up to cause that but not affect the way it drives. well I asked how much for the tires, for 225/60/16 they wanted 95 per tire. i was like , I asked my dad who has some cool connections in our town and he was able to get me 2 tires mounted and balanced for 145 with tax. FYI those 95 tires were the 'basic' all season black-wall too, so i spent 205 with alignment out the door, better watch out for those CENSORED potholes .

Hmm, my tires would be more expensive than that, 225/50 R16. I'm not too concerned though, my brother owns a shop that and they get extremely good prices on tires. It probably won't matter anyway ... I'll have a Camaro before my all seasons wear out.

If you tire is wearing alot more on the inside you might need a camber alignment, since just that one is wearing that way.

I didn't even know you could still buy a tire for $95.00 any more. Try $450ea for the rears on my car.
