all we can do is make sure a mod knows, and that we all know to NOT click on anything they post. i ran a diagnostic on one last night and found a trojan virus embedded in the site it takes you to.

ChevyMalibuForum is the same way. Apparently the spammers figured out how to get around the security things on VBulletin.

I've reported a bunch myself. I'd report them faster, but I have to wait 1 minute for each report.

Gang, thanks for being so patient and understanding.

We all know that the porn threads can get our users in trouble and we want you all to be very careful over the next couple days while we figure it out.

It's quite obvious that a vulnerability in the V-bulliten software has been exploited. And zieke is right. They are trying to plant a trojan under the guise of installing an active X component.

Please be extremely cautious viewing new posts from members you don't recognize.

Again we sincerely apologize for the vulgar nature and are truly grateful for your understanding.

Firstly, it is clear that an exploit has been found, as gtahvit has noted.

Secondly, the mods are working hard to keep this under control. They're doing an incredible job of keeping this trash to a minimum. I've never seen such a well-run forum.

Thirdly, this thread should probably be moved to the Feedback section of the site for the sake of organization.

Fourthly, make sure to use the report button when it comes to spam. Moderators look at every thread as quickly as they can, but it sometimes helps to get notification, so be sure to click the triangular icon at the bottom-left of the post.

I do believe the issue has been resolved. I know it got out of hand. And a huge thanks to all the Mods for trying to get rid of all the spam. I know I was deleting and banning like crazy..... but it's finally come to an end.
