New to the site and just got my first camaro!

Hey everyone, I am new to this whole "car hobby" thing but I am really interesting in making this a big part of my life.

I am 18 and decided to get a loan and get my first car... which of course, had to be the new 2010 Camaro.

It is just a standard one. A simple V6, but I think that I got exactly what I wanted. I am curious to learn more about this excellent machine and how to customize it to my own personal likes.

Anyways, my friend who has an SS told me all about this site and he said it would really help me out with learning more about cars.

Thanks! I am glad I am here.

Welcome & congrats! You will find a plethora of knowledge here and I hope you plan on spending money because once you see some of the aftermarket stuff for this car and start modding then it never seems to stop.

If it's on a loan, then you really will not be able to mod it. You're not the owner, the dealer or the bank is

That can't be true. Getting a loan from a bank doesn't entitle the bank to your vehicle. It is still registered in the buyers name and belongs completely to the buyer. The bank is entitled to the vehicle if the owner cannot repay the loan. It is then they can Repo the car to regain their money.

Therefore, It is his car so I don't see why he couldn't mod it. I'm sure many of the people on this site are paying monthly payments to pay off a loan and are still modding the car.

I'm pretty sure I'm right, but if I'm wrong, feel free to correct me

I don't really care, it's just how the dealer explained it to me if I wanted a 5th gen. But whatever I'm happy with my 4th

Welcome! Congrats on your new Camaro! Mod away! You're paying for it, so it's YOURS! (as long as you're not leasing it )

Enjoy the great forum we have here!
