Itching Like Crazy! Help pls!

Can anyone tell me why whenever I lift weights or get on the treadmill about 5-10 min into it my whole body feels like it's itchy on the inside and it feels like this

Sometimes it happens when I'm not lifting weights/running. I've tried switching soap, shampoo, laundry detergent, even bought new leather furniture. lol

I don't have health insurance so no doctor right now. Anyone help pls!

Benadryl and Aleve seem to help a little but I'd like a more permanent solution.

I'm a nurse, but I'll try to help. If this is a true story it doesn't sound like an allergy issue. Sounds like a lactic acid issue. Eat better, stretch before working out and please get thee to a physcian or at the very least WebMD. It could be something worse. Good luck!

Yes true story! lol

I drink 1-2liters of water every day, orange juice in the morning. no soda's, no fast food. lots of chicken, steak, and fish.

I take Vitamin D, Omega 3 and Centrum everyday.

lack of oxygen to your muscles, used to get that when I ran all the time

Doesn't sound as if you are doing anything wrong, unless you are allergic to the vitamins. You could lay off those for a few days to see. I'm sure there are cheap/free clinics in your area. Get better!

Thank you. Mabye it's the Omega 3's? I usually use GNC but tried Members Mark (Sams Club) brand. I get plenty of sun now so I guess I can lay off the vitamin D... hmmmmph

im a paramedic and I have run into this a couple of times. Once it was a lactic acid issue and the other time it was a guy whose wife had changed dryer sheets......the stuff got onto the shirt but wasnt released until he began to sweat and his pores opened up. It caused a mild alergic reaction and made him itch! If you want to figure our which it is, take a little bit of benadryl before you workout (about 1/2 hour),,,,if there is no itching, you can go down the lactic acid trail! Warning that the benadryl may make you drowsy

It's more than likely a lactic acid issue, I'm actually pretty sure of that

Also, it could be a friend decided to play a trick on you and put itching powder in your bag. So you may keep washing your clothes, but because you may not clean the bag it can still get on you.

Is it a "needles and pines" sort of itch, or is it more of an "ants in my pants" sort of itch. And yes, they are different, I have experienced both but not at the same time.

I really wouldn't try taking some benadryl before going to the gym. I once went with a friend who takes it for seasonal allergies, I have seasonal allergies too but I take other meds for that like nasonex and claritin, anyway I was the spotter while he was benchpressing, at which time he became drowsy and almost dropped the weights right on my leg.
