the scion tc would sell better if it were a rwd car (video inside)

this video shows a couple of scion tc's that are rwd going up against a nissan gt-r. this video is from motor trend. imo i think the tc would be more attractive to me if it were rwd.

Actually, the 2011 tCs are supposed to be switching to RWD (and a Subaru boxer engine I believe).

Yeah, I have no clue how much HP it will be putting out, but the RWD and boxer engine have been very consistent in the rumors I've heard.

I believe the first tC they showed couldnt launch very well. He got a 5.0 (0-60), while getting a 12.5 in the 1/4. The 60 times seems a little off to me

Quite possible, I'm not even sure if I can launch mine yet. Haven't really had good road conditions to try, plus I prefer to race auto-cross more than drag

maybe they dont have tires that supply maximum grip, considering the cars are designed to be sideways 90% of the time.

He's saying that the reason why this particular tC couldn't launch very well (which results in an off 0-60 time), is because the tires they equip it with mean for it too go sideways and don't supply maximum grip. But IDK about that, they seem to stick pretty well going sideways so I don't see a reason why they couldn't catch traction in a straight line.

driver error then? maybe the aerodynamics are hindered by the massive wide body kit and the giant spoiler?

either way the car is waaaay more capable than a 5.0 0-60. my car weighs more has less hp and tq and i have gotten 4.8's
