So that was the solution to the spam?? I tried starting a thread In the 5th Gen general section about a Deep magenta car I saw in the wild. Seemed to go thru, I didn’t read the pop up that came when I submitted it. Then I see it never posted… ok maybe I had bad service or something. Try it again a couple hours later only to read the popup saying it has to be approved before it can be posted… there has to be a better solution than that….

This happened to me back in July so I don't think it's related to the recent spam attacks. A bit annoying I'll admit and hopefully it gets "adjusted" in the near future. FWIW I just posted the subject in the Gen section on an existing thread.

I’ve read about it happening in the off topic sections but never seen mention of it in the actual Camaro sections.

They're working on something. Couldn't log on at all for a while. Hopefully your issue will be resolved.

I don’t know exactly what being done, but I would imagine if mod approval is required, it might only need to be done one time, essentially approving a members posts/new threads after that, at least I hope it’s something like that… There’s too many members and threads to have to approve every new thread forever…

Let’s give it a bit of time and see how it shakes out…

In the meantime, if you try to post and it needs approval, please reach out, give me a little while as I have a life as well, and I’ll do what I can to approve them… If that’s actually what’s happening or not…

Not sure what Tran and maybe others(?) are up to but I definitely like what I'm NOT seeing. No annoying spam with that funny looking letter "D" that was driving me nuts. Thank you for continuing the battle!

It does look better...Still a lot of questionable "members"...Even though they are "banned" they still show as being on line and viewing a forum or whatever...lol...

I hear you and I appreciate the extra eyes. The vast majority of those are banned as I did them myself… for example MarilynnCow, I banned that account weeks ago… and no idea why it still shows being on here…

I just posted and noticed the 'needs approved' tag. Just a touch annoying, since I've never had it happen before (except on some forums where I was brand new and still "On Probation"), but if it eliminates BS and it doesn't take days to get a post approved, I suppose it's not too much to deal with.

What you experienced was random and for the most part rare. This forum has implemented some checks to immediately moderate new threads that appear to be Spam. Every now and then it picks up a legit thread like yours which had a misspelling in the title New "toys" hera and on the way!

When we go through banning the SPAM Thread creators we approve anything that get's caught up. Like I said very few, but it keeps you all from seeing all the SPAM threads that we see every day.

If it happens you can always PM SSE or I and we will approve right away. Otherwise we will eventually get to it
