Its very cool, its definitely worth far more than $100k....

however it's claim of being the most historically significant stock car ever? Ehhhhh no. How about Richard Pettys final win car from the 84 Firecracker? Earnhardt's Daytona 500 car... the list goes on and on...

I do think that this car IS a significant car in NASCAR Terms. Smokey was an innovator and this car was the peak of his innovations. This is the stuff that true NASCAR (Old School) folks dream of having. This car should be either vintage racing or in a good Museum to be sure, not stored away in some private collection.

This car was single handedly responsible for NASCAR's introduction of the body template, a form of which is still used today.



In my opinion, if you can make an entire sanctioning body change the way they inspect cars forever.......thats pretty signifigant
