How about a list of GM vehicles that are gone or going away?

I've been trying to find out about some of the GM vehicles that are gone, or are going away and figured maybe we could do a post to keep track of what is Gone, or is going.....

So far I've seen the Solstice/Sky is gone. Solstice Coupes have only 1100 ever made

We are hearing now the Z28 project may be dead for the Camaro...

I saw something that the Cobalts SS and HHR SS are gone.... Is this true?

How about the new CTS-V, is it dead?

CTS-V is not dead. I believe Cadillac's performance division is separate from GMHPVO (I think).

Cobalt SS Coupe is still on. I think it was the sedan that got canned.

Haha. To be honest, I can't really remember which models are being canned and which aren't.

Pontiac G3, G5, G6, G8, Torrent, and Solstice are obviously gone.

Cobalt SS and HHR SS are NOT dead. Only the Cobalt SS Sedan and HHR SS Panel were cut, but for some reason everyone takes this to mean GM cut every SS version of those two cars. They did not.

Impala SS is gone too. So is the STS-V, and the XLR dies after this year too.

But I don't think anyone will really miss them.

Which is good.. I hate the Sedan but love the coupe my ex drives. (yes we're on good terms and just went our separate ways). She always drove that 5spd like a bat out of hell and honestly.. it was the most fun I've had in a car in years. She's still egging me on about "when is that Camaro commin'.."

I just egg her on about not getting the SS. She just counters with "I like my roll down windows thank you.."

I kinda hate that the Panel HHR is dead, though. that would have been awesome just because I prefer the Panels over the regular HHRs. Just not digging the fact that they kept the back doors on. :/

I kinda hope with the New Caprice that they can plop an SS badge on the GXP makeup and just call that the Impala like they did in the 90s. Stretch wheelbase LHD Statesman upgrade FTW!

That's good news, even if they had to cut a few versions, they are still doing the cars and they are neat cars and a good buy. I think they are both good import competitors.

Glad to hear the CTS-V is hanging on. I may wait a few years though and buy one used after they can be bought for half price. If they only made them a short time they may not have been easy to pick up in a few years used. My 05 CTS-V I picked up just under 2 years old and 14K miles on it and it was only $30K so I would hope to do the same with an 09 V in a few years.

Impala SS dead.... I had one I picked up at auction and resold and it really was an OK car. It wasn't a rocket ship or anything, but got decent mileage and could be fun to drive. The STS-V always seemed like a flop to me and the XLR is a nice car, but you might as well just get a Vette....

How about the Trailblazer SS, is it hanging around....?

Nah, the entire GMT-360 platform got axed, so Trailblazer went with it.

GMC

Canyon, Terrain, Acadia, Yukon, Yukon XL, Sierra, Savana

Buick

LaCrosse, Lucerne, Enclave

Cadillac

CTS, CTS Sport Wagon, STS, DTS, SRX, Escalade, Escalade EXT, Escalade ESV.
