3 notices = I want to move

over the last month or so I have recieved 3 sex offender notices in my mail box they are all moving in just down the next block.

I live in a nice Quiet area, Not alot of kids but enough that when the weather is nice they are always out riding their bikes, walking down to see friends. we have kids of all ages around here.

My youngest as even seen a couple of them driving & slowing down by her bus stop.

I just want to move where I dont have to deal with these guys, either that or go hunting for CHUCKS ( sorry my step father is a sex offender by the name of Chuck)

They are everywhere..............you will only get away from them if you live in one state..............the state of denial. Parents should always act as if they live next door. Remember, only two people are responsible for their kids well being.........their parents. Sicko's are everywhere, damn depressing, this world is bad.

OK I am not blonde, but they are not suppose to move in around parks, or schools or anything like that & we live on a lake that has not one, not two but 3 parks, less than a mile away from where they are living at

I know that sucks. My kids don't leave the yard without me. I know of three or four that live within a mile of me. There's a few more that are not registered around here too.

Some of them live too close to the grade school here too, which is supposed to be illegal.

X Micro SS is right.

Same here. I live on a lake with many parks and 2 schools. My wife is very on top of checking our area. We have 4 in a 10 mile radius. And my neighborhood is PACKED with kids of all ages. Go figure. I am not sure what the exact laws are, but it is scary how many offenders their are.............very disturbing.

You're right to worry. The ones that should concern you the most are the ones that don't register. The ones that do are trying to comply with the law. Even though every sex offender represents a potential danger, you might be safest where you live. I would definitely enlist your children in self-defense courses regardless of whether anyone in your area is a registered sex offender.

If you decide to move, I want to wish you good luck in finding a safe area where you can live happily.

3 notices huh.... Every day I get a call from my school about sex offenders moving in the area. But I thought I lived in a good area haha.

When I am outside my house I ALWAYS watch my brother (age 8) when he plays with his friends in the front, and I ALWAYS have a knife on me.

When I was 13 (3 years ago) I almost got kidnapped I fought my way out and ran into my house. I always take precautions.
