Throttle plate closing

Hi all -

After two laps on track (flyers, hot laps) i observed the car closing my throttle plate. I would command 100% throttle but after 6k RPM it would begin to close the throttle plate to 80%. Has anyone seen this behavior and know what to chase?

Humidity was high - 90%; IAT reported at 78.

Can't say on these cars, but that's normal on my VW as a means of managing boost/torque. Can't tell it while driving, but the logs clearly show it. I would think it would be unncessary with the SC, but....

IAT only 78? Must be nice. Ambient here has been higher than that at 3AM lately.

thanks for confirming its normal behavior - i've never seen it in the data before but RaceChrono was just updated so maybe somehow its making its way into the data. My first two laps clearly has the plate all the way open so i suspected its normal behavior.

If there is too much knock retard, the throttle will also close some degrees.

Does knock retard suggest a problem or largely heat induced? I'm sorry; i'm very weak in understanding the LT4s stock tunes.

Knock can be caused from multible reasons.
Bad / low octane fuel. And yes, heat also.
Your issue could be from high iat's. But like others already mentioned that is normal.
