Family history of racing
My dad was a street racer back in the 50s/60s. 56 Bel Air and 56 Nomad. He ran with Sonny Bryant in SoCal. I had a nice 67 Camaro in the 70s. He loved that car as much as I did.
Sometimes, many times, I wish he was still around to see me run my 5th Gen. I learned so much about cars from him. |

My father was a street racer and campaigned a '57 Chevy at Great Lakes Dragway near Union Grove WI. Our family car when I was a youngster was a '67 Chevelle 300 2-door post car with the L-79 327 installed under its inconspicuous hood. My '71 Cutlass was his late '70s project. Pop at 80 is still going strong with a Gen 3 Z28 equipped with a 383 stroker, 700R4 and Moser 3.73 Posi. I hope to temporarily liberate him from N. Illinois and get him down to AZ for a therapy ride in my Z. I'm pretty particular about who gets to drive my machinery but he exceeds my criteria for sure!
