Thumbs up ACDelco PF64 Filters on Sale, $1.43 after MIR.

For those who like to stick to OEM, ACDelco has a rebate for $1.50 off their filters and Amazon has the PF64s for $2.93 currently. Hard to beat a ~$1.50 for an OEM oil filter, after rebate.

FYI - Max 2 per household on the rebate.

Nice find.

I though the old ACDelco filter for the LS1 was a huge POS so I quit buying ACDelco oil filters. When I changed the oil on my new 19 SS I looked at the OEM filter and was actually very impressed with it. It's a heavy and beefy filter that feels and looks very well constructed. Just not sure why they redesigned it and made it shorter than the original PF64 filters. If anything I think it could of afford to get a little longer to use more media for more filteration.

You may have gotten a knockoff. GM filters are actually pretty good. I used them for 13 years (2004 to 2017)on my C5 Corvette.

The rebate is good for ACDelco oil filters, fuel filters, cabin air filters, engine air filters, and batteries. It should include ACDelco parts for most current GM engines and cars. You can go to the rebate web page and see the specific list.

IDK, I think I got it off Amazon. I remember it didn't cost much, and my big issue with it was it was missing an anti-drainback valve. My guess is it was probably the truck filter instead on the shorter LS1 filter as I always ran the longer filter on my LS1. Pretty sure it was an ACDelco Professional filter. Even though you technically might not need an anti-drainback valve on a hanging filter, I just didn't like not having it. The filter likely would of work fine, but it just didn't seem as beefy or well constructed as any other filters I used on the car. (Mobile, RP, WIX, WIX XP, Baldwin, Fram Ultra Synthetic) I ended up change my oil very early just because I just didn't like the filter.

From what I've read the PF48 is the same size with the same thread as the PF64, but the PF64 has a better/heavier build quality, with like double the weight of the PF48, but I think the PF48 only has like a 14 PSI bypass. I was very impressed with the construction of the PF64 and have no issues running it.

Good deal, but I feel like the stupid prepaid debit card rebate of $3 is more of a hassle than it's even worth. Especially if it's one of the cards that won't swipe and take off the $3 if your purchase is more than $3. Why do companies insist on providing rebates that way?
