Winter Car suggestions

I know my family has at least one or two vehicles for me to use for the winter, but if I were to invest in my own beater for future winters, what should I get? I know any used car with FWD will do, but are there any that are better in snow? I'm currently looking at the Honda Del Sol, '95+ Monte Carlo and Buick Regal coupe as my personal choices. Too bad the Fiero is RWD, otherwise that would be my first and only winter car choice :upset:

Thats an oxymoron

yea its RWD and a mid engine....

Only thing tht makes FWD work so well, the engine is right over the wheels.

Ditto the Subaru, AWD rocks. Its a whole new world. Better then a 4x4.
I love driving through 3ft deep snow like nothing is there, takes no effort to go stop or turn.

After a good snow ill be out there for 5 mins getting tracks made for the Buick wagon, getting on it to get some good tracks made in and out of the drive so it don't get stuck. Don't even need to bother in the Sub, its like the snow isn't even there.

I got a FWD 2003 Cavalier after a month of combing the Autotrader and Craigslist classifieds. Drove 160 miles to buy. Great on gas (410 miles on 14 gallons), got a CARFAX with it, 61k miles, no rust, leaks, dents, very clean and well running car. It will be even better with the Bridgestone Blizzaks.

Any FWD car will be great in the winter with the right tire.
