it's asian lady beetle season

At first I thought this bug was called the Japenese Beetle, but a quick wikipedia search showed me that was not the case! Half of you probably know about it. Every fall they start migrating into your house. And they smell so gosh darn bad when you capture them!

I hate these bugs! I know exactly where they are entering my house, but I don't know how to seal my front door any better! It has magnetic door seals, but at the very bottomit hits a piece of wood and there is a gap where light is visible. I tried cutting one, but it just left a crack at the bottom.

So how do you all get rid of them? I vacuum them up most of the time, but that stinks up the vacuum. grrrrr

They enter my mom's house through the A/C.

Not much really to stop them. She mostly just lets them have free reign of the upstairs room. There are litterally hundreds of them up there. She's pretty good about keeping them confined there though.

As for my condo - haven't had problems yet.

I finally broke down and hired Andersen Pest Control because I get so many of them. Hopefully they can keep them out or at least considerably reduce the numbers. Drives me nuts. My house is only 5 years old and I can't figure out where they are coming in.

my basement is getting infested, just let them run their course, not much you can really do. I am in the country so i get alot of things in here lol

I have a huge pet spider collection in the summer, which is fine, the wife hates it, but they keep all the other flying bugs out so i let them stay.

Its allways been a good sign or omen when they come in the house in these parts. Thats means a mild winter.

If its gonna be nasty, they find better shelter.

As they don't know its a house, or gonna have heat.
Just an easyquick place to crawl into as there is no need to find heavy cold shelter.

We have them as well, but I don't mind them.
They almost cover the entire back of our house,
and a few get in through the patio doors when we're
letting the dog in or out, our cats love 'em.

Never noticed a stink or smell from them, maybe
a different species swarms in this region in the fall?
