Its the official truck of Mexico too.

When I was down there near Zapata TX outside the tourist traps at every street corner was a Ford truck squeeling its tires. No really, only other real odd thig was all the broken glass. Down every street, both sides, a 18-24" wide band of broken bottles. Almost looked as if folks did keep them out of the street on purpose, like it was almost swept but not picked up.

You know I have to say I drive a Chevy Silverado and always will. I'm not even close to being a Ford Fan however it has always amazed me how Ford has out sold Gm and Dodge and everyone in Trucks for over 40 years.
What amazes me even more is every single state out there but one chevy Dominates but the 1 state that sells more Fords than anything in TRucks "TEXAS"
Amazing how one state can make the difference of the US of Total sells.

I dont give Ford credit for much since im a Chevy guy.
Used to I would say Gm's interior is more comfortable , fancier looking , better interior quality and a smoother ride.
Since 2006 I have to admitt Ford has improved everything 100%
They are up there interior quality , ride smoothness and etc however im a Chevy Guy and always will.

What you folks dont understand when Gm was building trucks like we know of them today Ford was building a Truck for mostly hard work they didnt care for the comfort and etc. They put a 9inch rearend that couldnt be broke under hard use so people in Texas who needed work trucks for farms , cattle , roadside work and etc bought a Ford since it was reliable for them.
Years and years after the love for a Ford Truck grew and thats how it happened. Plus the deals you could get on a Ford truck around here is pathetic. Gm was so proud they wouldnt back off on price and to this day its still that way.

Ford Dominates Texas because of the better deals Ford dealerships offer over chevy dealerships plus the love from generation to generation for a Ford truck is out of this world since its been proven in the past to take punishment.

oh well give me my chevy I wouldnt have it any other way its what I was raised on

wait... the SVT Raptor is Full Size truck of the year?
that seems like a category more suited to a F-150 XLT or a Lariat, not the Raptor....

wow.....

Great for Ford though

Raptor looks a lot better without the decals on the sides.

Well, they are Texans.

You can't expect them to make smart decisions.

It's the ONLY truck in it's category- because it's not really a normal truck and no one else is really trying to do what the Raptor does. Even Jeeps are made more for crawling. The Raptor is a baja style pre-runner. And truly, from everything I've read it's awesome.

But the Raptor doesn't really compete with the other 150's in work capability.

So as much as I love the Raptor, it'd have to be a toy-it couldn't replace my real truck. (And whatever Texas says- Cummins 4evah! ) Edit: Just had to point out Dodge took 1st in the real truck competition lol

I have owned four Silverado Z71's over the past ten years. Everytime I replace one I test drive a Ford and recently the Toyota Tundra. I always come back to the Chevy. As for the price, my last 2 z71's loaded were over $1,000 less than the equiv Ford and Toyota.

hey xanthos - when you say "smart decisions" you must be talkin bout those boys that keep y'alls football programs in contention that decided to leave the motherland and play in okla!
