1. The price is quite steep.
2. It always makes me laugh when these types of articles compare horsepower numbers to the Hellcat. Any third party company is free to do whatever they wish within reason. Build a 2,000 horsepower car...it's a free country. At the end of the day, the Hellcat is a stock vehicle, not a vehicle built/modified by a third party performance shop. BTW, I'm not a Dodge fan. I'm simply a car guy that prefers to compare apples to apples.

We had 2LTs (V6) walking Hellcats at the 1/8th mile drag strip this weekend. They were built for sales for people impressed with paper stats that are clueless about vehicles.

A fool and his money are soon parted.

So...

If I understood your message... You are basically saying that the Hellcat or any other high HP vehicle from the factory for that matter, is a waste of money. "only for people impressed with paper stats and clueless about vehicles"... because "2LTs were walking Hellcats at the drag strip this weekend"...

No where did I mention "any other high HP vehicle" Maybe feeling confused for that Snake in your sig

The hellcat was designed to look great on paper, nothing more.

Probably not as this has nothing to do with the original Yenko Chevrolet. SVE just bought the name...

If you really think the hellcat only "looks great on paper, nothing more", you are the confused one.

So a 10sec/mid 120s mph capable car (with tire) is nothing special? Please feel free to name other cars that can accomplish this feat under the same set of circumstances... Dont worry, I'll wait.

Why are you looking at my snake? It has nothing to do with this thread. Do you usually look at other guys snakes?

Snake gazer!

I never mentioned 1/4 mile, the Hellcat only shines once the legs get stretched or for street racing rolls at 60->150+. By then, it's already lost the 1/8 mile to a V6. It's an overweight boat with skinny tires requiring mods to develop even partial potential. Even if you're ok with, you still run into rear cradle roadblocks on tires since 3xx wouldn't fit (unless that was fixed with the 2017 release -meh). The ZL1 is comparable if not better out of the box with much higher potential with less headaches for the same dollar.

You're the only one here flashing their snake on a Camaro forum, kinda hard to miss.
