Unfortunately, probably true. But let's call it a Chevelle Laguna S3, lol.

I believe you can run an old model for a year or two after it's taken out of production. I believe this happened in the pass when moving to the ss sedan

I am, once again, sorry to see this platform leave us. It had so much potential, but the SS was at least handled fairly well with nice amenities. I kind of understand why it wasn't promoted, as it was meant to sell off the remaining Holden units as this division closes.

I would love to see this sedan resurrected on the Alpha platform, with an imaginative design and a real promotion program. I'd bet that it would be a hot seller if it's handled right.

SS debuted at Daytona Feb '13. I believe the last time Chevy did that was almost halfway thru the '89 season when they were late switching Monte Carlos for Luminas. If they're switching to something else they need to get on with development or they just might get caught with their pants down and be in SSs next year. But that wouldn't be a bad thing.

The Impala is due a face and tail lift maybe they'll use it. Have you seen the new Toyota that's coming out for Nascar? I guess Carl Edwards will only get to drive it one year since he's retiring.

Bought a Pontiac G8 in college and loved that thing. Had hoped to get myself an SS when I get the Camaro paid off. Guess I'll have to see what used ones are going for in a year or two. Seriously underrated car.

Sad, but not surprising. V8 RWD sedans can't survive in today's market.

The Charger has since 2006.

Just because GM made a halfassed attempt with the "SS" doesn't mean there is no market. The G8 GT was very warmly received, unfortunately it was chained to Pontiac so when Pontiac went..so did the G8.
