Ive come to a conclusion concerning IPODs.

And that is that if you prefer an ipod over a zune, I would guess you never used a zune. I had to f around with itune for over an hour last night because of multiple albums appearing in my library for dozens of cds....that I burned straight to the computer. What pain in the ass. Even group labeling them doesnt fix it all the time.

Now theres a lack of album art on itunes...the biggest music player in the world...where zune had 0 problems finding art for all my cds...even rare junk that nobody buys.

Oh then compilation cds...be prepared to have 15 of the same cd listed in your library again because every song by a differnet artist will make a new cd. I even put the settings to group compilations together...WTF? What effing computer nerd desiged Itunes. It flat out sucks compared to Zune in every aspect of downloading/buying/organizing/playing/setting up mulitple accounts/syncing.

I hate Itunes as its way more messy and not user friendly. I cant even drag songs into other cds???? Seriously why do they even give me a drag option? I cant drag to sync? LOL F this pos.

I hate you GM for not testing your PDIM to make sure it works right with MP3 Players other than IPOD...which plays flawlessly I might add, which is the only reason I jumped ship. So thanks for that because now all my songs are asc3 or some junk that only plays on ipod. It was fun converting my whole library.

I will know now that anyone dissing zune over Ipod has never used Zune.

FIX THE PDIM GM! I want my Zune back.

i've never tried a zune

i got annoyed with iTunes when put my music folder onto my external hard drive, then transfered it all to my new computer.... and i lost pretty much all of my purchased music from the store...

i still haven't found out how to get it back

I got a Cowon S9 and I love it. No converting my music, touch screen, etc. I feel your pain with Itunes. I abandoned it a long time ago.

Heh - I use a creative zen x-fi and love it. Will be upgrading to the new one as soon as I have the cash.

As far as organizing, I always just select the songs of an album as a group, then select "New Playlist from Selection" from the File menu.

Somehow Itunes breaks up certain cds into multiple cds even though they have the same artist/album name/year ect. I just want to drag certain song into another album. You cant do that.

My only other grip is that they really need to copy the Zune Pass idea from MS.

that's what i thought as well doc, but the store lists the songs as "already downloaded" or something along those lines. i'll check the forums though, i'm sure other people have had that issue before. maybe my next player i'll try a zune

iTunes SUCKS...last Christmas was the year of the mp3/Ipod here in our family, and all 4 of my kids, both my parents, my wife, my mother-in-law, my sis-in-law, and probably others I'm forgetting, all got either an mp3 or an Ipod as gifts...so I spent Christmas day, and the next 3, trying to get music on these little devil machines. All of the el-cheapo mp3 players went pretty smooth, but the couple of Ipods in the bunch were p!ssing everyone off, because of the strict structuring and bulky software. Matter of fact, my parents ended up buying a cheap mp3 player because they were so frustrated with the Ipod, which still sits idle to this day.

I told everyone that from here on out, that whomever *gives* a gift that needs programmed/downloaded, that person is in charge of getting it set up...!

I have no reason to create a playlist. All I do is random my whole library. All of my cds were previously burned to the cpu before I got itunes. Then zune organized everything the way it should be. No duplicate albums ect ect.

I had 0 missing album arts with zune...now with ipod I have dozens. I thought for sure the itunes store would be larger than zunes....nope. Missing the same things that the zune store is missing. The only advantage of an ipod is it works with the usb port.

Im going to have to look into media monkey.
