Are people from Chicago really that shock [ Lost Olympics ]

Reg News, ESPN, Nat News, all with reports how they are shocked at the let down. Just cause The Prez goes to ask they really thought it was a shoe in?

Though who is gonna beat out topless thong beaches in Rio???

I am not from Chicago but I am in Illinois. The people that I have talekd with are happy that it didn't go to Chicago. Like any other mess in Chicago the rest of the state picks up the tab when they run out of money.

The IOC stuck to their guns about bringing the games to every continent.

2 billion was the estimated cost chicago would have incurred. Realistically it would have been double that. obammy was responsible for their ejection for consideration in the first round. Voters made a statement on their feelings of our CIC thinking he could run his mouth to victory. The funny thing is, drug money bought the site. Rio?!!!! are you kidding me? The highest crime rate of any metro city world wide. And a corrupt police force. It will be interesting to read all the horror stories. Sad, but interesting.

I live about 15 minutes from the city, and even as a 15 year old kid, no. I'm not surprised at all, are politics are corrupt, are economy is shit, and we have no where to host it. Seriously? You wanna put the games in our "parks"? Aka the one block of random green placed randomly in the city? Maybe if we had put more money (Yea, more even though we spent a LOT in the first place) into cleaning it up (Roads, sidewalks, etc) it may have happened. Oh yea, it probably doesn't help that we have a ridiculously high crime rate either

I'm glad for South America. We've had our fair share of Olympics up here, it is only fair they get a shot at it for once.

I did not see the presentation yet, but I heard it wasn't a very good presentation by the Princess ( Michelle)talking about her father etc.. and when the prince arrived ( Hussein Obama) it was refreshing to see, that they don't always get their way when you are a narcissus, BUT the real thing below the surface was Obama owed a lot of people in Chicago for paying his election, and the City of Chicago has more corruption then any other place I can think of, Obama was trying to get his friends ( Valerie Jarrett) and developers an almost endless supply of money that usually never gets tracked BUT always leads to huge cost overruns...CHECK THIS OUT, Valerie Jarrett was going to be able to build the Olympic Village...she is a dangerous person...
