Hello all, '14 LS LFX

Hey everyone. So I'm the happy new owner of a 2014 Camaro LS with the v6 LFX engine. Yes, it isn't a v8, but this car is pretty impressive imo.

Now, most of what I know about cars came from having to keep my old clunker running for getting back and forth from work, so I'm not really a gearhead. I do know how to work on a vehicle to a point though and almost always do my own work.

I've only had this since 3/26 (6 days), but I'm putting together a list of changes I plan to make and will keep track of it in the journal section. Any advice is much appreciated. I've only been able to do but so much research so far.

Cosmetic changes
-Replace stock halogen headlights with U bar LED 8k xenons black
-replace stock tailights with black or smoke LEDs
-add front end splitter
-add side rocker panels
-add rear spoiler. Either a stock RS or SS, but maybe something different.
-add door sill kick plates with LED lit "Camaro" (already ordered)
-add fog lights
-add interior LEDs. Cupholder, footwell.

Cosmetic/Performance
Eventually I think I will upgrade to 20x9 black rims. Little wider for better grip and look good too.
Maybe a new hood. Either heat release vent style or maybe a ram air setup to feed the CAI.

Performance (any suggestions)
-cold air intake
-catback exhaust
-oil catch can
-I don't expect to ever do the STS turbo kit. I would probably trade in for an SS or other.

Personal preference
-remote start and/or keyless ignition
I've read some about this, not really sure which way I will go with it. Seems kinda complicated with various ways of doing it.

Hope to get to know y'all and thanks for any tips to a newbie along the way.

CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wives', husbands, girlfriends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!
