OZ rocks!
EDIT: Do you have a source? This is exactly what Senator McCain should be saying. I don't really think it would work for Senator Obama. I did find this on Snopes.com and they say it's true!! EDIT 2: OOOPS! I was in no way making the Obama to muslim connection. That was merely a comment on his political stance to this point. I don't buy into the hype that he is a muslim in christian clothing. Just wanted to be clear.

watch out for the Libercrats here....The UCLA---oops ACLU will suppress the rights of the overwhelming majority, to accommodate a small minority. See if we can get President McCain to get on this....

As former veteran, from an family that has history back to the American Revolution as citizens, and supporter in some american culture (Muscle cars, baseball, etc); even I have to say Im with Dragoneye on this one. I wish I could live there. If it wasnt for the fact that it was so hard and expensive for me to get there, plus the fact I have no idea how to get employed down there.....I would go on the first boat.
They still enjoy our identical love for muscle cars, they actually have freedom and liberty, and there government doesnt piss the rest of the world off. I believe every citizen by law has to vote (manditory like taxes), and they have a government that actually listens to the people as a whole, not lobbyist or tree-hugging hippies (read: CAFE *cough*). The Prime Minister is correct. Step on toes. Its the only way to be right and get crap done. We should be like this to people like this:

I like Australia, its the only place that I might leave Canada for. I remember hearing that Canada and Australia were supposed to start partnering up on some things, we face a similar set of issues. This isn't about that though so moving on . . .
I've been saying things along the lines of that little message for a long time, and I'm still young. The way I put it is that if I move to another country, I won't demand that they accommodate me. I will learn their culture and adapt to it. And I will learn the language before I leave, not 10 years later.

Those who enter a country change it forever. When our families came to the United States, it was mildly diverse. Some of us were forced to be here, their families—prisoners of the British Crown, African slaves—brought here in shackles. We believe in God, not because we are Christian; because we are religious Jews, Muslims, Christians, and others. Our founders were deists, not cross-bearing crusaders. Much of the same is true of Australia. In effect, state references to God are not representative of all views of God in the country and should be withdrawn. We are a great country by the grace of God if that is what you believe, but for many the free agency to do great things makes a country great. Those who enter have the free agency to say what they will and to be tolerated. They should learn to accept where they go as home. They should leave if they cannot do so. At the same time, those who cannot tolerate newcomers to their country should remember a tall, green gift given to the Americans from France. At her base, she welcomes everyone. If you can't welcome those who want to be here, maybe you should go too.
In fewer words, those who come here to complain are welcome to leave, and so are those who can't stand people who should be welcome here.
