GT-500 glimpse?

I would say this is a hint at what Fords GT-500 will be putting out.

BTW I love everything about this truck.

Not really, Shelby conversions like that have nothing really to do with the factory stuff...just look at the joke of a "850 horsepower" Super Snake...

If Ford does a GT500, it will be a much better set up than this.

Putting more HP in a car than what it can use is just stupid. The Hellcat is an example. You would have to budget an awful lot for tires and be willing to accept humiliation at drag strips in bone stock condition from lesser, more reasonably powered cars. Of course, the majority of Ford and Chevy fanboys will want the bragging rights to the "most HP" battle. Go for it, I say.

Correct - Not factory Ford.

Shelby America is a 3rd party performance shop just like Hennessey, Callaway, and Lingenfelter. Right now you can get them to make you a Super Snake GT500 on the new Mustang. Just takes cash$$. http://www.shelbyautos.com/?topic=vehicles&art=ShelbyGT

That's a lot of coin just to have Shelby on the hood of your F-150. The Eco Raptor
will probably kill it in the quarter.

So Shelby is not a production Ford? I did not know that. The Shelby GT350 is on Fords website. We compare it to the Chevy Z's all the time. But if Shelby is a separate custom shop I guess all these comparisons are baseless? Seems the last GT-500 had the Shelby name on it too. What am I missing here?

Oh and wow BTW at all the vitriol. Just thought it was a cool truck and maybe a glimpse at the engine thats going to compete with the ZL1. Wasn't trying to make anyone sad.

Ford does make ShelbyGT350 and GT500.

Shelby American in Las Vegas can turn your factory Mustang into their own version of GT350 or turn a GT500 into a SuperSnake, etc. etc. can turn your factory F150 into ......

No, different Shelby's. It's confusing, I know. The GT500 and GT350s are Ford cars. They just license the Shelby name. Shelby America(n) is an aftermarket company that modifies stock cars and resells them.

That is just silly looking. That hood looks like any 98 cavalier you would see sitting at any Walmart that got the ricer treatment. What is the point of a 700hp truck? I would rather have a stock duramax or Cummins.
In a truck. Much more usefull. Not one of Shelby's finer moments.
