hello from germany

hello from germany
My name is Mirko, 44 years and I´m from germany.
I would like to introduce myself and my camaro.
It´s a 2013 SS AT / EU model
I register here, cause I hope to find some inspiring information for some other modifications.
In the german forum i'm already a member since i got the camaro.

Now I have my buddy one year.

I bought him after I broke up with my 2005 Mustang GT.

Unfortunately the original exhaust of my new friend was terrible, no sound-no feeling.
So he got a Magnaflow 16580 catback, which was already more V8 feeling.

I use him as a daily driver so I needed a couple of winter
tires that I've let then pull to the original rims.
In the spring there was a set Avus MB2 for the summer tires.

But after some weeks I would like to have it more old style

(the concave and convex thing is not mine),
so there were a few new Rhinos of Schmidt,
I donated some scuffs, also in red.

In between, I have a wifi front camera installed,

the images were send to my iPhone, which is quite useful in some curbs,
then he got a strut bar and a front bumper lip.
Tail Lights become darkened.

Ok, I thought, so far everything was fine ..... but ......
then I went to the german camaro meeting in Hohenroda

One week later I had installed a K & N Typhoon intake, sounds great.

The commemorative edition emblem I liked so much,
but it was not possible to buy it here in germany.

I draw it in 3D Cad ....... some 3D test printings in ABS until I had the right size that I like.

Then ordered two pieces from an online printer in Alumide and filled it up with colored paint,
fastened with 3M tape on the fender.

A footwell lighting would be fine too.
I like to build things by myself, parts exchange I refrain as far as it is possible.
LED ...... placed in the footwell but that was not enough .....
entrance lighting, that's what I thought... fine, so I put some more there.
That was really great for getting in and out, but during the trip I found it rather disturbing .... and now?

Illuminated Floor Mats ... that was what I needed.
First of fiddled a little to create a functional prototype with the original mats,
it was built in a afternoon ... wonderful.
Then finally came the new commemorative edition floor mats,
the result you can see in the link below.
Floor mats with illuminated lighting.

Door-kick-plates made of leather to match the interior.

After that there was still some leather in my garage,
and if I took a look under the hood I felt bored and
I have to do something against.
First I painted the mount of the strut bar and the engine cover in inferno orange.

I made some strut covers built in leather,
then the cover obtained from the fuse box and an inlay for the Chevy logo,
all with real leather to match the interior.

Now I had a few LED left that I simply installed even in the engine compartment.

Mirko, CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wives', husbands, girlfriends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!
