It's Time to Go....
I’m 64 years old, and yesterday I just sold the last Camaro I'll ever own. Me and Camaros have been buds for almost 50 years!
My first Camaro was a ’67. A real beauty, a gold RS with hidden headlights and a two speed automatic! For its time it was a fast, good handling car and I was just a kid.Loved that car! Next was white ’70 model, and then next I went back to a blue ’68 model with a 3 speed manual. Over the years I’d earn extra money by buying “grandma’s Camaros” (two barrel, plain Jane cars), then putting a 4 bbl carburetor on them, add a spoiler and some nice wheels, maybe a stripe or two, and then resell them. It was a good way to earn some much needed extra money. There was always a Camaro around the house! Then I became a policeman in Texas. We were able to outfit our own cars (Constable), and I chose a 1985 IROC.It made a beautiful patrol car, and was all the rage back then. My last Camaro was the one I sold yesterday; a beautiful white 1LE, which I enjoyed at the Texas Mile (161 MPH), and as an everyday driver. But father time kicks butt. Hard to get in and out of them now and it’s time to turn loose. Hope all you “youngins” out there get to enjoy almost 5 decades of Camaros the way I have.Don’t take a one of them for granted! You will remember them fondly in years to come. Regards

Great post and sorry you can't enjoy the camaro anymore. Looks like it treated you well though and I'm glad your last camaro was the best one yet.........

Yep the father time does move on. I'm in my mid 50's and my knees pop. So I know one day, father time will catch up to me as well. Got my first '69 Camaro back in 1976. Over time, I've had (2) '67's, (1) '68 SS, (5) '69's including a Z/28 and a pace car, (1)'70 SS, (1) '73 Z28, first brand new car a '81 Z28, and now my current car that I ordered. Will always have fond memories of Camaro's and really appreciate what I have had in my life. Good luck going forward OP.
Best regards!!!!!!
