It got so cold here!!! I pulled my baby into the garage for once. I am way too spoiled by California weather, I am such a puss, even when its 50 lol.

See? It didn't rain at all!

I have been in San Diego, driving after a rain storm. I can't imagine the havoc that snow creates in SoCal.

... and they say Californians can't drive in ice and snow... but these two cars certainly had to be DRIVEN to where they are at, so, take that!

(The Xterra has been in my neighbor's yard since Tuesday, the Neon has been sitting in HIS neighbor's yard since Wednesday evening.... too icy to move these damn things, so the road looks like Beirut, circa 1982!). Maybe the tow company can get them out in June or July...

Still chilly... note the 15 degrees on my display (things HAVE warmed up significantly since yesterday, but I didn't get pics of those single digit numbers...). And don't judge me for "Kajagoogoo..." I can't help it if the 80s on 8 runs that through every now and then!

ChevyGirl661, what kind of temps are you getting in Bake? Gotta be COLD farther north of me.... kind of a concern with so much agriculture and livestock uot there. I suppose there's not a lot a lot of susceptible crops right now, but these deep chills can still have an impact on things...

That Xterra FLIPPED OVER?! USING CHAINS?!

The driver must've thought that since they were using chains that nothing wrong could happen.... wtf!

I cannot tell you how many people simply think that chaining up is the magic pill that allows them to not put one iota of effort into thinking about how to drive. They chain up, then drive at top speed DOWN hills, and at .0001 MPH UP those same hills. Then, while chained or cabled, WHEN they come to a stop going uphill (since they have no momentum), they simply FLOOR it, not moving, sparking it up like the Fourth of July, until the chains or cables break and instantly beat the fender to shreds. OF course, that only happens if they have chosen to chain the DRIVE wheels... us locals like to keep count of how many Mustangs we see chained on the front wheels, and Accords chained on the back.... those vehicles are usually the first to end up in snowbanks or ditches.
