I got in trouble at work!

But I'm not sure why? I'm a yard manager for a roofing company. My job is to make sure the trucks that come in are loaded with the correct product in a timely manner. There are many other aspects of the job, but thats what i mainly do. Out of the blue i get an email (he cc's my boss as well) from the sales manager and the email title was a roofing company along with a jobsite. Ok, no big deal. In the email all he says is "Can we discuss?" and nothing else. So later that day I'm called to a conferance with my boss as well as the shift manager. My boss starts to tell me that he got a call from the sales mgr and tells me that I'm m not being cooperative with the salse staff and not completeing task requested by them and so forth. I was told that i was supposed to reverse a document so this roofing company mentioned earlier, would not get billed and i didnt get it done. I had no idea what he was talking about and explained to him that i was not given any information regarding this customer in any form or way. Nothing! So how can i not cooperate when i wasn't informed? I was f!ken pissed. We call the sales mgr and put him on speaker and he goes on to say that they should have cancelled the billing and it was something they didn't do. I asked when i was sent the information and by whom? He then says he will send the info during our call and if I can take care of it. Then goes on saying that it was not my fault, it was the sales staff. F!cken serious?! No, sorry, our fault, or even acknowledging their mistake. My boss just dimissied the whole thing. Unreal!

Last week, I had a mob of angry people gather around my desk demanding to know why the hell I had not responded to the shipping "emergency" that I had been asked about (a truckload of tires... not like beating human hearts, but, whatever).

Turns out, my employer, in their infinite collective wisdom, had disabled the work email address used by SOME of my clients/ customers, because my employer was afraid that somebody might use "Gchat" sometime... apparently, that email address used the Google host, and, damn, if somebody found out that "Gchat" was available, well, that would waste company time if they chatted, right?!?

So... they just disabled the email.... quietly, without mentioning it to anybody. Then, as people tried to email me with their problems and complaints, I received nothing.

Eventually, I got it all sorted out, once I was made aware of the shipping "emergency."

And, since I never even got to use "Gchat" (WTH? Not even something I would ever give a rat's ass about!), and since I now have extra time (with my email disabled!), I will instead spend my company time posting shit on C5... take that, employer!

I wonder how many other customers/ clients have tried to reach me over the past few days?!?
