WTF is wrong with people?!

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/1...usaolp00000592

I'm sure like many here, I'm an animal lover. I especially love dogs, and I've had at least one all my life. So going through the news and I stumble across this bull****. In short, they estimate that the dog was in a trash bag in a garbage can for probably about 6 days. It was still alive, and in the last stages of starvation (it was still alive). The silver lining is that it looks like it's going to get a good home.

I donate a little each month to the human society, and I hope others do too. I can't describe how angry this makes me, and how angry I am that the guilty party will probably only receive a fine (if not get away with it all together). People that do this crap should be in jail.

This kind of crap makes me so sick. The punishment for this kind of cruelty should be extreme but sadly in many parts of the country a slap on the wrist is all they get.

The fact that someone can consciously do this to an animal is sickening, even more sickening is the fact that they'll just get away with a fine!

One of my rescue dogs, and American Eskimo, was found by construction workers (with her sisters and brothers) inside a trash dumpster. They were in an ice chest that was duct taped shut. The construction guys heard the dogs crying so they pulled the chest out and rescued the dogs. We adopted her - poor thing has always been so fearful of everything, probably a result of her early life experience.

It's very sad there are people like that in this world. Saved a puppy a month ago and found her a good home. Can't stand animals being mistreated like that.

I hope a good amount of people read this and it is a deterrent to anyone thinking of getting any animal for the holidays if they do not realize what it takes to care for and love them like they deserve. I have no time for idiots that mistreat animals and act like it's nothing. Bump for the run over of the As*hole

I'd take it if it needed one. I have 7 dogs now...one more or 10 more is not a problem. Regarding the second bold, it didn't say in the article, did they even do anything to the owner? Arrest him?

No they don't....it's a good time of year because so many are adopted this time of year....but it's also a bad time of year because so many don't realize what's involved....In addition if those that PAID for an animal this Christmas would adopt one instead....what a difference it would make.

We can only hope....

True. Sadism and no respect for life is hallmark of dangerous people.

Happy the dog will recover, not happy this happens at all.
