Don't even get me started on my two month nightmare with verizon fios. I guarantee this guy spent a minimum of 12 hours on the phone just to get them to send a tech out to his house. In the end they refunded me money rather than charge me for canceling a two year contract after two months. Down with verizon!

I had fios at my first apartment and after the home owner (a friends dad) screwed us (me and my 2 roommates) out of our money and had the house foreclosed and we moved to a complex. We when we were transferring electric service they said that they worked with verizon and could transfer our internet service as well. So I asked them to go ahead and do it. The lady said that fios wasn't available at the complex but we could get dsl and she'd make a note to have them cancel the fios service. Apparently she never did make that note, so i was charged for 3 mnths of fios service and 6 mnths of dsl. After the second month i called and they said that it was cancelled and that it just showed up as fios on my bill cause that's what it was before. I asked them why it was still the fios amount, $58, rather than the dsl amount, $26. She said she didn't know but would fix it. Over then next 4 months I called back at LEAST 6 times and 4 or so of those times I ended up talking to someone in another country who barely spoke english. The last time I told them to cancel all services I would eat the ~$250 that I was over charged and that I would never deal with them again. Haven't heard from them since. That was so frustrating... ended up just leeching off of a neighbors wifi.
