Best sports car for less than 18K

Hey guys, I love the new camaro but sadly won't be able to afford one for a while...

In a few months, I should be able to get a car for no more than $18,000...

I started with wanting a 07 civic or a brand new honda fit, for the MPG... but Im young and I think I want more power than gas mileage... I know the honda would last longer and hold its value better and overall, be the cheaper car to own...

But, I love V8's.... I like some V6 sports cars but they don 't have the sound of a V8... So what do you guys think are some good V8 cars to get for under 18K with low'ish miles...

Im looking at 05/06 mustang GT's but they are hard to find in my price range.... with under 50K miles.

18k isn't a lot to work with as far as used cars w/ low miles goes...you'll probably find something, but I dunno how easy it'll be... Then again, I'm not a huge used-car shopper, so I can't be much help.

Have you considered waiting a bit longer and saving some more?

I seen used 2006 Pontiac GTO's with the LS2 in th 13k-19k range under 40k mile .... start looking there, Sky's and solstice too

Surprised no one said this, the 2000-2002 SS and Z28 Camaros are in the 9k-14k range

I've looked for 02 SS's and 02 Firebirds but not a lot there...

There are a couple 03 cobra's.. & I forgot about the GTO!!! haha, the 05+ is a badass car!

I may save a tad more and bump it from 18K up to 20K.. that 2K difference added quiet a few cars.
