Seeking Car Loan for Used Car Purchase
I'm young, my car is dying, and I need to get to work. Where do I start?
Because my credit history is so limited, I cannot get a lot. I'm only trying to raise $8k for a reasonable replacement for my current beater. I currently am employed, so that helps, I'm sure. I need some advice on getting this amount together so that I can keep my job, which obviously keeps the rent paid and food on the table. Where is the best place to look for a loan, and how much trouble will it be to get one?

Best place is a Credit Union. Find one near where you live.
Credit Unions are membership based, but I'm sure they will take you under some program. Credit Union members loan each other money (in a manner of speaking), so the loan costs are usually much cheaper than a bank
