Camaro Performers Magazine gone????

Not sure if this is fact or not but I just read on-line that Camaro Performers Magazine is dead and gone. Apparently it got folded into Super Chevy as did GM High Tech along with a bunch of other magazines getting chopped. This really pisses me off as it is my favorite magazine and the only one I have a multi-year subscription with.

I understand I should give the new format a chance but frankly I couldn't give a crap about what some guy did to a bubble top Impala and how it still has the original vinyl interior.

Pissed, Pissed, Pissed

It's hard out there for a magazine, especially one with a more focused audience. Too hard to compete against the immediacy and wealth of information on the internet with paper copy writing. Camaro magazines are a treat, but I wouldn't expect any of them to make it very long. Luckily we have a free (to us) resource like Camaro5 that we can get our daily fix from.

I'm not sure about Camaro Now.

Just read that not only Camaro performers but 5.0, high performance Pontiac and GM high tech mags are no more and will be folded into other publications. Kinda makes me sad as a longtime reader of GM high tech

Yes I believe it was 11 magazines got folded into other titles. From 4Wheeler to Fast Fords etc. I get that the Internet is really in a lot of ways ruining the magazine world but Camaro Performers was my one hold out I looked forward to every month and as I own a first Gen and a Fifth Gen they did a great job covering all the Camaros.

Like I said while I can appreciate all performance cars and cars in general I really just don't care to read about the others. Given the option I'd cash out but I am pretty sure I've got a couple years of Super Chevy coming my way. Same reason I gave up on Hot Rod I just don't care to read about the other stuff out there, I'm a Camaro guy to the core.

Where did you you hear about this? The only thing I found so far is a website change on posted their facebook page. Didn't see anything about the paper mag. This would suck as I just got a subscription in March.

Edit: After some more searching, I found more info. It looks like the whole company is not doing well.

Anytime I go to the mag section in the store all I see is 1 Ford and a couple ricer mags. Never Chevy anymore. While it true, you can find anything regarding cars on the net I still like to sit down with a cup o Joe and read a good mag.

I was a fan of Super Chevy back in the 90's, even participated at many Super Chevy Sunday shows back east. They changed direction and I dropped them. Sorry to see Camaro Performers die.
