2013 Sixer DD

Hi guys, I'm the new owner of a 2013 sixer DD and a former Mustang guy to boot I'm right smack dab in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, born and raised. I also roll a 70 Mustang coupe, but ended up w/ a sixer Camaro as my DD well honestly b/c my wife liked it Her H2 was rear ended last month or so and the rental was a 2013 Camaro vert, she remarked how much she liked it and I told her to go ahead and trade in the Hummer and get one but instead she said I should trade in my DD and get one. Now I've never looked at the Camaros being a Ford guy but I thought, a sixer getting almost 30mpgs is a pretty cool DD so why not?!? I love it, these 5th gens have the coolest body lines

I'm a 13 yr (in May) Army lifer. Former active duty and now reserves. On the civilian side I'm a paralegal for a Federal Agency.

I'm not planning on modding this out too much since it is only a six and my DD to top it off but I have ordered the GM strut tower brace and won an auction on FleaBay for a CAI inc intake. I also picked up some white stitched leather wraps for the sunvisors b/c those airbag stickers were awful! Gonna remove the rear bowtie and get the black billet bowtie replacement up front. I'm also going to get the blackout taillight bezels and maybe remove the Camaro lettering/badging. Looking at those catch cans right now too, interesting.

The Stang is 100% homebuilt, auto to 5spd conversion (World Class T5 w/ a hydraulic clutch). Homebuilt engine rebuild, lil' over 300 HP outta a 70 302, w/ 86 E7 heads and now my 6 cyl has more HP freaking technology I'm also currently in the process of restoring a 72 Bronco, although I just have a chassis and drivetrain right now. I'm going resto on that one and not resto-mod; it's gonna retain it's 114 HP I6 and 3 spd.

Anyhow, good forum, glad to be here.

Sarge, CONGRATS on your ride and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wives', husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!
