Love my ZL1

Hello all! I'm new to the forum and wanted to say I am so glad I found it and wanted to give a little info about myself. I've always been a fan of Chevy's, especially Camaros. Over the years I have had a '93, '99, 2012 and to my current 2013 ZL1. The 2012 was a 2Lt. Loved the car, but always drooled over getting the ZL1. I finally had the opportunity to get one, so with a little nudge from the hubby, she became mine.

Been in love ever since. No mods yet, but after reading over the forums I talked the hubby in to getting the Roto-Fab CAI. Just came in the mail so hopefully tomorrow we can get it installed. Next on the list, we are thinking pulley. I've been reading over the forums, but always open to suggestions. I also had a blackout kit for the lights and window tint, but... the troopers in Maryland didn't like it and made me remove all of it. Grrrr. Not as sexy looking, but still turns heads.

Congrats and there is a lot to love about the ZL1. Just a piece of advice, take your new toy to a track and race it or Autocross it and then you'll see just how awesome a machine it really is.

Hi Todd,
Yep, we've had it at the drag but would love to take it to an autocross. I've been looking around and think we are going to try taking her to Summit Point in the spring. The whole racing thing is new to us. Never really had a vehicle worthy of taking, so we're just itching for this snowy weather to go away so we can finally have some fun!

CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands, girlfirends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Warning:
it's addictive and it's the thrill of doing it and not so much the car your doing it in. There is no doubt you will love the feel of the ZL in Autocross but I've gone as far as taking my wife's 4 door, 4 cyl. Automatic Nissan to a track day to get my fix. Check around for small clubs because in my area the Corvette, BMW club etc. all have open invitation Autocross and driving skills training for all makes.
