Arrested for calling 911?

that was played on the radio morning show i listen too..just poor judgement but people make mistakes

the only thing i found weird was when they were playing the recorded call,
it went beepbeepbeepboopbeepboopbeeppboopbeep... but 911 is only beepboobpbeep

No wonder people don't take you serious. Try being serious.

On a side note- this is one of the many reasons why cops have been given a bad rep.

That cop did not even try to ask her what was wrong, after she swore the first time,
he just hung up on her, that guy deserves a few year suspension or fired,

I can't believe someone from 9-1-1 would hang up on you!! That's F'ed up he hopefully will take responsibility for his actions and be punished, the girl did nothing wrong she was only frustrated and frightened.

Hey, there are good people and bad people in every field of work, he should be reprimanded, and if that girls father suffered and ill effects from a timely delay in rescue a lawsuit should be filed. It is a 9-1-1 operators duty to keep calm and help, there are many out of hand stressed out calls coming in, they are supposed to take control and calm the situation............not an easy job, and not for just anyone!

I do know a cop on the dept. (used to know several, years ago before I joined the Army and was away forever) I can imagine him and the others that do a good job day in and day out are gonna be the ones that feel the brunt for one guy having an apparently really bad day.

I agree. There are bad seeds everywhere. This is not a BROAD BRUSH type issue. The SGT. was wrong..not all LEOS are like that..

He should at least get suspended for a while. Some people freak out in situations like this because they lose control and don't know what to do, he should know that. We have family members come in the ER on a regular basis screaming and going on but we don't take it to heart. I wish I had a dollar for every time I've heard a doctor get called a prick from a family member but they understand why and I've never seen one say anything back to the member. That's just unprofessional!

Certainly not every police officer is like this. Maybe he just had a bad day or whatnot. Definately uncalled for action on his part. Thank god nobody lost their life.

But on the other side of the story, maybe the 3rd time the girl phoned she should have said "I need an ambulance, my dad`s having a seizure" instead of "give me your name so I can sue you."
