Engine running rough after trans swap? HELP!

I have a 1993 GMC Sierra 1500, With a TBI 350 in it, i recently shelled the 700r4 that was in it and swapped it for a th400, it now runs and drives, but the idle is rough, and it's completely gutless at full throttle, any suggestions? I'm lost.

torque converter?

I wouldn't think so, it pulls alright, the trans has a stage 2 shift kit in it and its a neck breaker. I don't think it would shift that well if the converter was bad.
