New pool skimmer line.

This sucked. Pic really doesn't show it, but the 5" strip is around 30' long, then we cut out about a 4x4 area to access the bottom of the skimmer.

The ground must have heaved and kinked the skimmer line. We ran a new 2" line and it works like a charm, nearly like a toilet flushing at the skimmer. Had to drink a beer watching it last night.

Pools are such a pain in the ass. Mine will get filled in once my daughter leaves the roost.

There's got to be a better way to do it than that!

We do enjoy it, but I work two jobs and pool maintenance just add to the list. I did buy a Dolphin robotic cleaner to help with that, works great.

Bleach, Borax and Baking Soda. Really the only three ingredients in my pool.

I keep telling my wife I'm going to fill ours with dirt and make a playground for the grandkids.

Pool costs me 18K this year (resurface, new tiles, new salt water system, paint, new light) and were lucky if we swim 4-5 times during year in it.
