After Market Extended Warranty for Used Car?

I'm looking to purchase a lightly used vehicle for a daily driver, as I make the transition for my ZL1 to be a more track focused vehicle.

I'm looking at all sorts of cars, in particular a small hatch back that gets good MPG. I can get a NEW 2013 Sonic for a little over 16k including tt&l. That's the more logical decesion to go with. But I'm also looking at lightly used Mini Cooper S, which would be way more fun to drive. Only thing being it would only be under the factory warranty for another year and a half. If I go the Mini route I would like to look at possibly an after market extended warranty and seeing what the cost would be. Does anyone have any experience with this?
