Talking New to the scene....burble burble pop pop

Got my first fast car last weekend and I LOVE it.

I love the interior...it's clean, soft indigo colored gauges, easy climate controls that I like a lot. Some people dislike the plastics, but if this is the only downside to this car, ha fine by me. The leather interior is even better than my last car. The seats hug you like grandparents. I also love the freaking steering wheel. I find this odd. The shape of it just puts this monster at my fingertips, so purposefully.

The outside of the car is stunning, striking, athletic, built, tough, powerful, I could go on. I find myself disgusted with almost every other car I see on the road. I've almost stopped looking at them entirely.

I've hawked autotrader looking for cars for the last 6 months and I've bounced around from Ford Lightnings, Subaru WRX STI, and just anything I could potentially enjoy commuting 60 miles a day with. I'm not a mechanic, but I love cars. My dad is also a big car guy and has 2 older Corvettes. I let him drive my new toy and he loved it. He said his Vette was a rougher form of power and the Camaro was faster. I showed my Pop Pop, who spent 40 years working @ GM and he loves my car. I wanted something fast, unique, that could get up to 20 MPG, that made me forget about work on the way home. Boy did I get just that.

I previously owned a Hayabusa motorcycle for 5 years and loved that thing. I think this car surpasses that initial giggle I had inside my helmet. I now have it all. The speed, the comfort, the brawn is all there. I never had a standard transmission, and I've read the tips that you guys have discussed. What a joy driving is again, like I'm 16.

Oh and btw my Brembo calipers are like sparkly as shit. Is this normal? It's like they have flakes in the paint. I'm going to take a ton of pics this weekend when I get her cleaned up.

Nice car!

Looks like your Brembos were painted or have caliper covers on them...

I'll instagram new pics/videos this weekend. The badges are painted both red and black. It's like someone hooked it up and never drove it. Wait til you see the calipers. They blew me away when I saw how sparkly red they were. I couldn't tell if this was a factory deal or what. I'll inspect them. Drilled and slotted rotors too. A couple people have asked me about modding, but I'm loving it exactly the way it is.

and thank you! I hope to meet some fellow Camaro drivers in my area. Baltimore, MD roughly.

Beautiful Car, Congrats. The brakes are outstanding. From my experience with my SS, you're going to get a lot of looks and compliments on that beauty.

CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands, girlfirends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

My exhaust tips were black inside even after a few car washes, so I wetted a paper towel and wiped them out. They are shiny chrome and look like new now, inside and out!
